expired usa visa needs help

a friend living in alaska on a temporary school/work visa has unfortunately let his visa expire without returning to his country. now he is alone and without enough income to support himself. is there anyway I can help him either enter canada or return to his country without getting into trouble

returning to his country won't be a problem. he can apply on humanitarian grounds to enter Canada or remain in US.
